Paper Dolls (2018)

A poetic exploration of womanhood and identity, Paper Dolls marked the beginning of a creative journey that blended truth, vulnerability, and lyrical storytelling. Through its intimate portrayal of transformation, the play established Dr. Moriah Shiddat’s signature voice — one rooted in empathy and the power of emotional honesty.

Zula (2024)

Set against the pulse of 1990s Detroit, Zula follows a woman’s return home as she confronts buried memories, family expectations, and the city that shaped her. Both tender and unflinching, Zula captures the ache of homecoming and the courage it takes to heal in the place where everything began.

Between the Space of Things (Spring 2026)

An upcoming work that delves into family, inheritance, and the weight of silence. When three siblings reunite after their father’s passing, the home they’ve inherited becomes a mirror — reflecting love, loss, and the unspoken stories that shape who we are. Between the Space of Things is a meditation on survival, reconciliation, and the fragile beauty found in what remains between us.
